Make Lots of Money: Living Large and Living Well
There are a myriad of examples of people in society who were able to make lots of money. And when we speak of making lots of money, what we are really referring to is not so much the folks that are well-to-do financially, but more those who have built up a fortune.
Some individuals hope to make lots of money through gambling or inheriting wealth, trying to obtain it the easy way and rolling the dice at a chance to become independently wealthy. Very few if any of these people have the makeup or mindset of wealth that would allow them to hold onto riches. Numerous examples of people who have won the lottery or otherwise come across some other type of windfall show that this type of wealth accumulation is folly. There’s just something in the human consciousness that seems to dictate that if you earn the money it’s yours, and if you don’t it flees away heartily.
Most people who are good at making money (and keeping it, making it grow) are quite stable emotionally and have accomplished certain specific goals they have set for themselves. Quite a few also have a hobby and live well-balanced lives. A lot of very prosperous people have a strong spiritual footing as well. There are instances where not all of these factors hold true, but they are more exceptions to the rule. Of course, no two individuals are the same, and thus there are variances, but by and large there are common threads and most money makers follow like principles.
Can a person make lots of money without even trying? Well, yes and no. The odds are against you if you just hope it into existence. Most of the time if the reason for the money has a very strong purpose it is likely to come. And there are also cases where a person isn’t trying to make money necessarily, but it comes as a byproduct of their “living on purpose”. If you have a very defined purpose, and nothing can get in your way, sometimes you can make a lot of money without that being a major motivation. In fact, money really never is the end goal for most people anyway. Stop and think about it for a moment. Money is a thing. People aren’t brought into existence by their Creator to find happiness and be satsified with things. We were created to find happiness through relationships with other human beings. That is the measure of our creation. We were created to find true lasting joy, not pleasures as and end all.
Nevertheless, money is a tool and having it in abundance is not wrong when used properly. And the fact is that those who really understand this seem to be the ones that it comes to most easily. Two of the most wealthy men in the world, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, are presently on a mission to get others like them who hold vast estates to give away half of their wealth by the time they die. This should tell you something about living on purpose and attracting abundance and sharing it.
If your main goal in life is to have lots of money, you will be very lonely. But if your goals and mission in life are genuine and unselfish, and having a lot of money will help you get there, you will probably be blessed with that money as you seek it. If there is any guile or loss of integrity along the way even if the money does appear it will be a curse rather than a blessing to you. Having said that, we are here to live and live abundantly and as you make lots of money, just remember where it came from, where you came from, and to be generous with others.
